The annual U.S. News & World Report rankings of the best graduate schools again placed the University of Maryland among the nation's best.
A roster of excellence from each of UM's colleges that had disciplines ranked in the current issue of U.S. News that was published today.
Heading the list are Top 5 programs, headed by the College of Education's Counseling/Personnel Services program at No. 1.
The College of Computer, Mathematical & Physical Sciences and its physics department claimed two top five honors, for Plasma Physics and Atomic/Molecular/Optical Physics.
