The University of Maryland Debuts TerpVision!

WHAT:
TerpVision - a new multimedia series from the University of Maryland.
WHEN:
  • Saturday, Nov. 27 at 2:30 p.m. on WJLA Channel 7 (ABC) in Washington, DC
  • Saturday, Dec. 4 at 4:30 p.m. on WTBD-TV (formerly NewsChannel 8) in Washington, DC
  • Saturday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. WNUV-TV (The CW) in Baltimore
  • Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. on WBFF-TV (Fox) in Baltimore
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. on UMTV. On campus, you can watch UMTV on channel 38. Comcast customers can watch on Channel 73 in Prince George's County and on Channel 2 in Montgomery County. On Verizon UMTV is on Channel 40 in both counties.

Hosted by Maryland alumna Bonnie Bernstein '92, TerpVision tells the stories of the University's faculty, staff and students, and the incredible impact they are having in our communities and in our world.



In the debut episode, TerpVision features:

  • How climate change research is impacting the Chesapeake Bay;
  • An agriculture faculty member who has started a non-profit to rescue injured thoroughbreds in Maryland;
  • A groundbreaking performance blending modern dance and physics;
  • All-ACC punter Travis Baltz takes a field trip to the Federal Reserve;
  • And a scholarship program that recognizes students who have overcome significant personal hardships.
