9/11+6; Terrorism; Global Violence

University of Maryland researchers are available to discuss the state of global terrorism and violence more than six years after 9/11, as well as various aspects of U.S. readiness to anticipate and respond to attacks.

The university's Center for International Development and Conflict Management has released a new report, Peace and Conflict 2008, a comprehensive statistical analysis of global conflict. Among the findings: the emergence of a dangerous, chronic perfect storm of forces leading to instability and international violence -- a 'conflict syndrome.'
