Expertise Credentials:
Judy Tso has worked as a consultant in a variety of organizations and roles for the last 15 years. She utilizes a multidisciplinary approach that draws from the field of creative problem solving, ideation and product development as well as from coaching, anthropology and diversity consulting. She also draws from theater, improvisation, and storytelling. Much of her vision for bringing understanding across human differences draws from growing up Asian in Kentucky.
Prior to joining CLOC, Tso provided services in diversity training, consulting, ethnographic assessment (cultural competency, program evaluation and organizational assessment), coaching and public speaking both within her own practice as well as in collaboration with Novations Group and other consultancies. She has worked with corporations, non-profits and government agencies such as BIC Corporation, FDIC and the Barr Foundation and has spoken frequently on the topics of diversity and cultural differences with a specialty in the Asian American arena. Tso worked in Product Development at Baltimore Gas and Electric and was a Creativity Director with Innovation Focus, a leading ideation firm.
She holds a Masters Degree in Applied Anthropology from UMCP and a Bachelors in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Tso also sits on the Executive Board of the American Anthropological Association and is a member of the National Speakers Association.
She received the 2005 Drylongso Award from Community Change of Boston for her diversity and anti-racism work.
