Making Science, Technology and Math Fun For Kids
COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Summer is here, and kids are eager to start having fun, go on vacation, and make friends at camp. But just because kids aren't in school doesn't mean they don't want to learn! Reading books in the summer provides a great opportunity for children to continue learning about science, technology, and math or what many educators and researchers call STEM. STEM books help kids review important math and science concepts that they learned in school, which deepens their understanding. Also, good STEM books can help kids become more interested in math and science, because they present information in ways that are engaging. And, since many kids are already interested in technology, it's easy for them to use their skills to learn more about math and science on the internet. So give your kids a STEM book or go online to a STEM-related website this summer and watch their minds grow! suggested by Professor Turner
