Maryland Day
Will offer 403 Events!

Final submissions are in for the program book - which will be going to press shortly. That also means final touches are underway for the Maryland Day home page - watch for our announcement soon!

All over campus, orders for tables, chairs and tents are coming in. Volunteers will be wearing special 10th anniversary red t-shirts (by special request of Dr. Mote!). There will be some 7000 lunches ordered for our volunteers including vegitarian and kosher boxed lunches!

Details are also coming in about the logistics of bringing 50,000 cupcakes to Hornbake Plaza. The cupcakes will be brought to Hornbake Plaza by Dining Services staff starting at 8 p.m. on the evening of April 25.

At 9 p.m 40 volunteers will work in 5 hour shifts to first place the cupcakes into a UM Seal design, and then start handing them out at 10 a.m. after a ceremony to open the day (that's a total of 120 volunteers!). All the cupcakes should be distributed by 4:10 p.m. or so.
